It’s simple, I love to cook, I have been cooking for as long as I can remember. I grew up as an expatriate with a French father and Lebanese mother. I have had the privilege to live in Europe, Middle East, America and throughout Asia. As a result, I was exposed to the different culinary traditions each country and region had to offer developing a passion for colors, shapes, form, fragrance, taste, patterns, and texture. I therefore, chose an education centered around concepts of design and communication. I completed my undergraduate and masters at designs schools. Even when I was in school and after many late nights in the studio, I couldn’t wait to get home, be in my kitchen and cook my favorite dish!!

This was a discovery phase in my life. With the experiences I had around the world and in my kitchen I started inviting friends to enjoy those moments. That is when I realized “I truly enjoy this”. I started throwing dinner parties, bringing people together, creating landscapes with my dining table and developing menus. My ultimate reward was to see people enjoy each other’s company and food.

What came next is the idea below, to present my culinary work using social media.  Creating an Instagram account, This Time in my Kitchen,  using my creative background and love for food. I chose to divide the posts into two segments. One, seeing the ingredients and organizing them to create a visual canvas of what goes into the dish. Two, the final product. Currently at Le Cordon Bleu Paris (culinary institute), learning to improve my cooking skills. Enjoy!!
